Creative Portfolio

This portfolio showcases work from three organizations: the Pregnancy Resource Center for Southwest Arkansas (PRCSA), Bakes By Bree, and Dr. Tamara Miller Orthodontics (Dr. Miller Ortho).

PRCSA

The Pregnancy Resource Center for Southwest Arkansas (PRCSA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization serving women and men in Southwest Arkansas who are facing unplanned pregnancies. Trained advocates work with each client to provide accurate information, education on all options, and free resources. I spent three and a half years at PRCSA.

Bakes By Bree

Bakes By Bree is a bakery and coffee shop in Arkadelphia specializing in custom desserts and dirty energy drinks. During the week, they also offer fresh sandwiches, salads, and wraps. I have been with Bakes By Bree since January 2025 and will continue in this role through December 2025.

Dr. Miller Ortho

Dr. Tamara Miller Orthodontics in Keller, Texas, serves children and adults seeking orthodontic treatment, including Damon braces, Invisalign, Vivera retainers, and Spark aligners. I spent four months with Dr. Tamara Miller Orthodontics in 2024.

Skill 1

Event Planning

PRCSA Percentage Days

  • Percentage Days are collaborative fundraising events where a business donates a portion of its sales during a designated day to a partnering nonprofit. These funds typically support a specific project or cause within the nonprofit.

  • To raise as much funding as possible during business hours for a designated PRCSA project, while engaging the local community and raising awareness about the organization’s mission.

  • As the PRCSA’s Marketing Coordinator, I partnered with Samantha Sweets and the Ouachita sorority Women of EEE to organize these events. I communicated PRCSA’s needs and limitations, collaborated with the business to customize each Percentage Day for maximum impact, designed all flyers, created promotional content, and hosted the events throughout the day.

  • The first Percentage Day was held in May 2022, and the second in September 2023. With 10% of sales donated to PRCSA, both events collectively raised over $600. The business owner shared that these were the most successful Percentage Days in their six years of operation. The funds were used to purchase baby supplies for mothers in need within the community.

Bakes By Bree Donate Day

  • This Donate Day at Bakes By Bree operated like a Percentage Day, with a portion of profits donated to a nonprofit, but included a raffle to encourage additional support. Customers who spent over $10 and brought a requested donation item were entered to win a $25 Bakes By Bree gift card.

  • To raise over $100 for the Clark County Humane Society and collect at least two high-need items following severe flooding that affected the shelter.

  • I coordinated with sororities from both local colleges to participate, met with the Humane Society manager to identify the highest priority needs, and worked with the Bakes By Bree team to create a pet-themed menu for the event, including dirty energy drinks, pet-inspired cookies, and Pup Cakes for dogs. I hosted the event, took orders, created flyers and social media content, and managed communication with all involved parties.

  • The event raised $250 for the Humane Society through 10% of sales, far exceeding the initial goal. The raffle generated a trunk-load of donated puppy food and paper towels. Additionally, all four dogs brought to the event for customer meet-and-greets were adopted later that month.

Re-Grand Opening

  • In November 2024, the PRCSA completed a major expansion, converting a room into a large conference space, adding new client services, and finalizing licensing to operate its ultrasound machine. To showcase these additions and engage the community, I organized a ribbon-cutting Re-Grand Opening event.

  • To welcome at least 15 new attendees who were not current staff or volunteers and to raise a minimum of $50 in donations from a catering partnership during the three-hour event.

  • I created the event flyer, coordinated a partnership with a local catering company that donated 50% of profits during the event, gathered donated desserts from local businesses and individuals, and secured a photographer to donate her time. I also hand-delivered custom invitations to 50 local businesses and individuals and hosted the event.

  • The Re-Grand Opening exceeded expectations, with 75 attendees and $200 raised in donations, helping PRCSA expand community awareness and support for its new services.

Graphic Design

Skill 2

This section features my work in newsletter design and multi-use graphics across various platforms.

Newsletter

  • Phase 1

When I began working on the PRCSA newsletter, it was a simple Word document containing a devotional from the Executive Director and a few photos. I redesigned it to include additional stories, more color, and a cleaner layout, and we expanded its frequency to twice a year.

  • Phase 2

As postage and printing costs increased, I adapted the newsletter to a two-sided, foldable format that combined the envelope and content into one piece, reducing costs while maintaining quality. We also introduced a Spanish-language version during this phase.

  • Phase 3

In this phase, we transitioned to a primarily digital newsletter, allowing us to share more in-depth stories while reducing our printed copies from 700 to 100. The printed version became a trifold pamphlet highlighting key stories for distribution where needed.

The graphics I have created include menus, pamphlets, social media posts, print advertisements, stickers, and flyers for a variety of campaigns across PRCSA, Bakes By Bree, and Dr. Tamara Miller Orthodontics.

Skill 3

Social Media Management

Instagram

  • Bakes By Bree

The Bakes By Bree Instagram highlights custom orders, creative drinks, seasonal menus, and events. Notably, brands such as Alani Nu, Monin, and Torani have interacted with several posts. I currently manage and actively post on this account in collaboration with the owner.

  • PRCSA

The PRCSA Instagram featured event promotions, volunteer highlights, center updates, and holiday posts. Walmart engaged with one of our posts during this time. My last post on this account was on April 13, 2025.

Facebook

  • Bakes By Bree

The Bakes By Bree Facebook page showcases custom desserts, event promotions, lunch reminders, bakery updates, and relevant reposts. The page also features Facebook Live videos hosted by the owner to engage customers in real time.

  • PRCSA

The PRCSA Facebook page provided updates on events, shared relevant news, reposted community content, and linked followers to newsletters to keep the community informed and engaged.

Editing

Skill 4

During my internship at Dr. Tamara Miller Orthodontics, I was entrusted with creatively improving the website to enhance patient experience and brand consistency. Dr. Tamara Miller gave me the freedom to make meaningful updates, including:

  • Correcting language and fixing grammatical errors

  • Adding more photos to the landing page slideshow

  • Building the entire “Transformation Library” page

  • Incorporating additional patient photos throughout the website

  • Standardizing fonts and colors for a consistent look

  • Adding Google Maps near the landing page footer and header

  • Including business hours in the footer

  • Expanding the “Patient Perks” page to include seasonal content

Most of these improvements focused on making the site more consistent and easier for patients to navigate. Building the “Transformation Library” page was especially challenging, as I needed to find past patients who had quality photos, noticeable orthodontic transformations, and who had signed consent forms for photo use.
